SUBJECTS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION (1200 MARKS)
The written examination comprises papers totaling 1200 marks. Subjects carrying 200 marks will consist of two papers of 100 marks each, while all other subjects will have a single paper. Each paper will last 3 hours, and candidates should expect a mix of objective (MCQs) and subjective questions in both compulsory and optional papers, with the exception of Essay, Applied Mathematics, and Pure Mathematics.
It is important to note that MCQs must be attempted on a computerized OMR answer sheet, while subjective questions are to be written in the provided answer book. For language papers in Urdu, Pakistani regional languages (Punjabi, Sindhi, Pushto, Balochi), Persian, and Arabic, answers must be given in the respective language unless instructed otherwise. Questions related to translation between English and another language must be answered as directed. Islamic Studies or Comparative Study of Major Religions must be answered in either English or Urdu only, while all other papers must be answered in English unless the paper states otherwise.
Please be extremely careful to follow these instructions —any violation, such as answering in the wrong language, will lead to the cancellation of that paper, resulting in ZERO marks. Non-Muslim candidates may choose between Islamic Studies or Comparative Study of Major Religions.
Additionally, the three General Knowledge papers (GK-I, GK-II & GK-III) must be passed collectively with a minimum score of 120 marks out of 300.
Note : if a candidate fails to appear for any compulsory or optional paper, they will be disqualified from the remaining examination.
